when i was in pri and sec sch, i always long to go to my grandparent's house. I love visiting them cos they pamper us so much!! We (me n sis) always phone ah gong to come fetch us or sometimes, we will just take a bus or walk to their place (a few blocks down). dunno y my bro dun follow us... wahahah...
Ah ma always bring us to the central market to 'gai-gai' aka shopping, sometimes we will go bt timah and chinatown!,... fun okay, given that we are young and daddy always work nv go out one. then usually at 6pm we were be at home, ah ma will bring us down to her usual ah ma gathering-to-update-gossips down at the void deck U-chess-table, me and my sis will bring along our roller blades and go blading at the void deck, sometimes joined by other grandchildren.
i rem some ah ma's nicknames.. (you know how ah ma dun call each other name, instead they call each other something something sou (auntie).. haha, i rem 1 ah ma is
hai sim sou (sea cucumber auntie in hokkien) yes, she n her husband sells sea cucumber, my ah ma always buy big fat ones from them... YUMMILICOUS! ZERO FATS ZERO CALORIES TOTALLY HEALTHY! one more ah ma is nick named
Oo Gao sou (black dog auntie) no she dun sell dogs nor does she own any. She's nicked named this as her husband is nick named Black dog... I DUNNO WHY... anyway this gossip session is Darn fun... I LOVE AH MAs!!.. they are so cute n funny la... it's like when 1 ah ma walk pass, the whole group will shout to her to join them etc. FUN LA... reaching 7pm, it's the cue for them to go back, cos the 7pm DRAMA starts!!... VERY IMPORTANT, DRAMA is part of their life okay...
ThEn, Ah Gong session starts, 7pm onwards, ah ma's usual seats are replaced by their hubbys (hubbies?, spell?) AH GonG session... hahaha... me n my sis dun join ah gong session cos we also DRAMA siao... wahahaha....
anyway, was wrking today when i saw a granny waiting for her grandchildren outside the shop, hence reminds me of my grands... I WILL CALL THEM TML...
